  4. Introduction: C64.SK originally
  5. launched the SID compo which is every
  6. year. I thought it was about time that
  7. I did another competition. No SEUCK or
  8. Crap game competition this time. It is
  9. a cool music competition. If all goes
  10. well, I might consider another compo of
  11. the same. Later on this year, but with
  12. JCH music editor :oD.

  14. So why is it a DMC compo, nothing else?
  15. Well it is mainly because I used DMC in
  16. the past & still will use it always.
  17. The DMC music composer tool brings the
  18. heart to C64 music. You can compose
  19. cool types of style and sounds with
  20. DMC's varied sound settings.

  22. Plus it is to bring back the
  23. traditional style of C64 music. Using a
  24. C64 program instead of a cross platform
  25. music composer. :o) DMC has always been
  26. part of my pride of composing music on
  27. the C64. I've always loved it.

  29. Aim of Compo: The aim of this compo is
  30. to arrange & compose a masterpiece for
  31. the C64 using the Demo Music Creator in
  32. any style you like
  33.  
  34. Compo rules: Simple really. All you
  35. need to do is compose music in one of
  36. the following music editors, which are
  37. as follows (on this .D64):

  39. Dmc V1.2 
  40. Dmc V2.0 
  41. Dmc V4.0 
  42. Dmc V5.0 
  43. Dmc V7.0 
  44.  
  45. or any other DMC music creator (The
  46. higher version the better) you can find
  47. arrange & compose your masterpiece. You
  48. have until 30th April 2007 to arrange &
  49. compose your track. It can be anything
  50. from C64 old school jazz to c64 Techno/
  51. trance or if you wanted, death metal
  52. YEAAAAAH!. Chose your style & enjoy
  53. composing.

  55. You are NOT allowed to enter any cover
  56. tunes.
  57.  
  58. Rude names are NOT allowed
  59.  
  60. Do NOT mix other people's demo tunes &
  61. call it your own.

  63. You are welcome to use demo tunes that
  64. support the music editor (Best thing
  65. for newbies) else refer to my DMC
  66. tutorial on the TND web site :o)

  68. Playing time does not matter although
  69. we will appreciate that your entry is
  70. at the most 5 minutes long & at least
  71. 2 minutes.

  73. Submitting entries: You can submit your
  74. entry 2 ways. Via email to Richard or
  75. thru private message on the TND forum,
  76. CSDB or Lemon64. Entry can be SID or
  77. C64 PRG inside a .D64. Although we will
  78. do 2 versions of the tune. Please
  79. include the following with your entry:

  82. Author:
  83. DMC version:
  84. Playing time:
  85. SID type: (Old or New)
  86. Nothing else.

  88. Deciding the winner:
  89. The winner will be decided by using
  90. voting poll. The voting poll will stay
  91. for 4 weeks after the closing date.
  92. Then the winner will be announced
  93.  
  94. Compo entries: Will be available as we
  95. receive them

  97. Compo dates: Compo starts: 21 MAR 07
  98. Closing date is 30 APR 2007 Voting
  99. from 1 MAY 07 to 1 JUN 07 when the
  100. winner will be announced & have a .D64
  101. prize emailed to them.
